[Announce] Picture Viewer for Unix

Hi all,

I’m happy to announce you my first official SDL program in the Internet:
“pv” a Picture Viewer program for Unix environement systems.

pv is an alternative to watch multiple pictures on your computer in fullscreen
with all kind of file formats.

Features:

  • multiple file support with with starting arguments with auto-skipping non readable files.
  • autoresize with smoothing technics (SDL gfx)
  • fullscreen mode
  • picture rotating (90 degree)
  • online help with h key

Example of use:

Pv can be used with mutliple files, for example:

$ pv *.jpg *.png test.bmp

or if you are too lazy:

$ pv *

It will automatically ignore non readable files.

Requirement

  • SDL library 1.2.6 or higher (get it here)
  • SDL_ttf-2.0.6 or higher (get it here)
  • SDL_image-1.2.3 or higher (get it here)
  • SDL_gfx-2.0.10 or higher (get it here)
