Announcing Heroes 0.5

Below is the announcement of the version 0.5 of Heroes, a game
which can use SDL as a display/keyboard/mouse/joystick driver.

Have fun.

PS: SDL 1.0 users need this patch:
ftp://heroes.sourceforge.net/pub/heroes/heroes-0.5-errata.patch.gz----

I am pleased to announce the release of Heroes v0.5.

Heroes is a game like Nibbles (or Tron) with many enhancements.
It can be played by one or two players. It features 12 original
soundtracks, 94 levels (in 10 different tilesets). There are
five game modes like Quest (the classical Nibbles), or Kill’em
all (run over lemmings). This is a port to Linux of the DOS
version.

I just added this game to the official FreeBSD ports collection, so you can add FreeBSD into list of supported systems. If you
are interested to backport patches required to get it working there then you can take a look at:

Thanks!
