I also just noticed that if I let an MPEG play until the audio stops
(ie, the animation is only half complete), suddenly none of the sounds
I play via mixer work any more!
Perhaps I should just ditch mixer and use raw SDL audio functions? <cry!>

Using both mixer and smpeg at the same time have brought braver men
to tears.
I don’t have an example on me, but I’ll try to post one tomorrow.
