DirectX mouse problem

Hello,

I'm developing an app in WindowsXP. When I run it on window mode, no

problem, but in fullscreen mode and directX enabled, I get weird results:
sometimes the screen appears “displaced” (the surface that I put at 0,0
appears on the 300,0 position) or, even with the screen appearing in the
right place, the mouse cursor doesn’t show up and I don’t get mouse events
when they should be raised (on “clickable” surfaces).

I guess it's a problem related to DirectInput (i've read some posts

about that), but I don’t want to loose the hardware surfaces acceleration.
Any idea of how to solve this?

Thank you++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I’ve yet to see this on any of the machines I develop on that run
Windows XP, maybe it’s a driver or card specific problem?
Maybe some more information on the hardware/drivers would help?

  • Video Card
  • Driver Date & Version
  • DirectX Version
  • Windows XP Version (and Service Pack)

Hopefully someone else on the list has had some experience with this
problem and can shed some more light on the issue.
