Does SDL_AddTimer hog CPU usage for 1ms delay?

I am not sure if i use the SDL_AddTimer, for 1ms delay each time of invoking, does it hog CPU?

Kindly Advice.

I’ve seen the timer code and I’ve got to say I think no. I bet you could
set a hundred and it wouldn’t make any difference. Trying something in the
