Well there are some GNU tools out for the DC. I don’t think they use SDL,
but I’m sure a port could be made or something. Here’s a link to something
you might find useful:

Yes it’s possible to use SDL under Linux running on the Dreamcast. In it’s
current incarnation, the Framebuffer is very, VERY, slow. You’ve been
forwarned.

Input devices should work as expected.

There is currently no audio support in Linux/Dreamcast, but support is
planned. Also, there is CD-ROM support, but no audio CD support yet
either.

They have a fully functional Linux port to the Dreamcast, and even have a
screenshot of playing PrBoom (DOOM port which uses SDL) on the DC. You can
see this here:

There also used to be this site:

which had tons of DC GCC and Linux links and tutorials, but they don’t seem
to be up at the moment. On Thursday 02 August 2001 09:24pm, Benjamin Joel Stover wrote:

I wouldn’t go so far as to call the port “fully functional”, as most DC
driver support is missing from the kernel or half-working. A more accurate
statement would be that they have a nice, small distro that you can run on
the DC. Don’t expect the apps you build to run full speed, 'cause they won’t.

The site worked when I just went to it.

Yes, try http://www.m17n.org/linux-sh/dreamcast/distribution

And you can run XMame in your DC!! :)On Thu, Aug 02, 2001 at 11:28:45PM +0200, Torsten Giebl wrote:
