Dspaudio & FreeBSD - huge delay

Hi,

Does anyone tried to look why dsp driver introduces huge delay (1 second or so)
in sound playback under FreeBSD? I believe that it is problem with dsp driver,
because if when I’m switching to the esd driver this delay dissapering.

Any comments and opinions are greatly appreciated.

I’ve just checked and found that this figure is in fact even worse - 4-5 seconds.

What sound driver you use? OSS , or somethin? let me know and may be I
