Emscripten on mobile runs slower when not touched

I have this issue I am trying to figure out, my game appears to run faster when my finger is on my device and slower, at half speed, a second after the finger is lifted.

I am trying to figure out where is the issue, of it’s on my logic, in Emscripten (and perhaps some tool of it like Asyncify), in SDL2 (like the event polling) or in the browser (like chrome mobile itself) or some android behavior - as in it lowering performance when the device is untouched to save battery or something.

Has anyone else observed this behavior?
