[Fwd: [ANNOUNCEMENT] MSYS-1.0.4 released.]]

FYI, thought you might like to know that I was able to use MSYS and
MinGW native utilities to build the Win32/MinGW version of SDL-1.2.3 on
a Win32 platform just doing a `…/configure && gmake MAKE=gmake’. See
mingw.sf.net for more details.

I’ve just released MSYS-1.0.4 which you can find at
http://sf.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2435 the MinGW file list
page. With this release symlinks used as arguments are resolved before
they are passed to the native program.

I’ve successfully executed configure and make for the following:

hello-1.3 (www.gnu.org)
Mesa-4.0.1 (mesa3d.sf.net)
SDL-1.2.3 (www.libsdl.org)

Have fun with it,
Earnie.

P.S.: I’ve been chosen by upper management to attend a 2 day training
class. I’ll not be attending mail during the day this Monday and
Tuesday, Jan 28th and 29th. I’ll try to get to it in the evening but
that might not be possible.
