[fwd] no tuxpaint sound in Fedora 11 beta

I’m getting ready to put together a new release of Tux Paint, and asking
people to see how things look. Here’s a note I got from one of our other
developers:

----- Forwarded message from Albert Cahalan -----

I don’t know if this is ALSA or Pulseaudio or what, but
somebody else should test this.

----- End forwarded message -----

(Again, regarding Fedora 11 beta.) Can someone confirm this, and is it
an SDL-wide issue? Or something specific to Tux Paint? I’m betting
against the latter, since we don’t do anything special or weird.

Thanks!–

hi,

is there a bug report link for this?

Nope, just that email from one of our other devs. Noone else has
reproduced it that I’ve heard (no pun intended), and we’re trying to figure
out what might be the problem on his system. (Someone has asked him run some
pulseaudio tool.)

I’ll try to remember to follow-up once we figure out what’s going on.
(But no promises. I’m a busy man.)
