Gprof & SDL problems

Guys, I’m having problems trying to get gprof output from my SDL enabled
program (compiling with -pg). In fact, all the SDL examples exhibit this too.

Basically when the program exits, gmon.out is meant to be written. However,
all SDL apps exit with code 3 and ‘video mem protecting’ - and the profiler
output is never dumped… 8(

Has anyone got SDL to co-exist with gprof - or is it the X libs interfering
at module unload time or something else suitably obscure?

(it does co-exist with efence though. anyone know of a memory leak tracking tool?)

Thanks,

Neil–
