I was wondering what I would have to do if I wanted to have, say a multi line edit box, so I can have say a chat box.
Would I just create them myself? Or is there some sort of nice gui addon that is free?

I know of two prebuilt gui’s:
CEGUI
and Guichan
Use of one of those two depends on how well it would integrate into your current application.
