Hmm… needs work.

It sure does. It can’t even tell me how many testicles Franco had.

Good luck to Steve, heh. wolframalpha is disturbingly obsessed
with financial information. Guess it knows where the bread is
buttered.

Sucking up to finance people is not a bad strategy, after all
companies like LexisNexis already have law sewn up. All the
parasitical professions can do with another level of parasites. I
wonder what you can do for insurance people, then?

Does it talk about airports because it’s a three-letter acronym?
If you plug in ‘sdl’ lowercase, it goes straight to SDL
International’s financials on the London Stock Exchange. I think
Steve wants to sell it as the search engine for finance people;
also to sell more Mathematica to finance people so that they can
mess up civilization some more.

Yet another product grossly over-hyped by tech journalists.

Really? Are you guys expecting it to give you the (lib)SDL website or
something? I think you’ve missed the point ;).

Try something easier, like “pi^2 / 6” maybe …

Ambitious?

“We aim to collect and curate all objective data; implement every
known model, method, and algorithm; and make it possible to compute
whatever can be computed about anything.”

Sounds like a Google April Fool’s joke. I’m not convinced if it
doesn’t know Maxwell’s Equations.

I doubt WolframAlpha will ever even make it to WolframBeta

Oh, I don’t know. When I do it, I get:

Wolfram|Alpha isn't sure what to do with your input.

That’s awfully close to “Insufficient data for meaningful response”.
