I am new to the SDL development space & I have been trying to wrap my head around the basics of how to structure a small project with it. I have gone through some official docs but I still feel such as I am missing a few practical insights that could make things clearer. When it comes to organizing event handling or managing rendering loops, what approach do you all find easier to maintain in real projects?
I want to know about what kind of starter projects would be best for someone who is just beginning. Should. I try making a simple game such as Pong or Snake first or would it be smarter to build small utility-based apps just to get comfortable with SDL’s event system?
I am taking a CSM Online Course which is unrelated but it got me thinking how structured learning helps a lot. That made me realize I should probably ask here for some structured guidance from the community as well.
