Is a SDL_VideoPlayer in the works?

I noticed that in the organization in GitHub it’s maintained a fork of aom and dav1d , for av1. Is there anything like a SDL_VideoPlayer in the works? Like something that would work as a crossplatform video API?

No, there’s no video player API planned, but you can check out testffmpeg in the latest SDL code, as an example of using ffmpeg for hardware accelerated video display.
