lokiTV.cpp

mp3 player works fine, I haven’t looked at the code or anything, just
tried playing an mp3 file. lokiTV.cpp however…Well I’m not much on troll
and their QT virus. I’d like to see a no bells and whistles example of
using the library (without QT) that say just opens a window and begins playing
video, no interaction. I refuse to use QT, kde, et all, due to not trusting
that their heart is not in the right place. You want to release an API? Stop,
pay troll. Whether that’s true now, it was true earlier, so I don’t trust
them…Just my $0.02.

Hey, if you don’t like QT, write your own SDL-based quick player.
I wrote plaympeg to be exactly that. You don’t have to use QT, that
just happened to be the toolkit the guy who wrote lokiTV was most
comfortable with.

Ummm, I think we better cut this one really short people.

I think I would be speaking for the majority when I say that I am really tired
of people starting flame wars over silly issues like gui toolkits. This list
has been really nice and very supportive so far. I would beg everyone to keep
it that way.

In any case SDL is a kick ass, high quality, light-weight product. It’s in a
different class than a GUI toolkit.

(That said I like fltk anyway …
