Since joining this list I’ve been getting multiples of the same mail for
libsdl… anyone else?
Me to. First noticed duplicates the other day, I think, but aparently
not of every post.

Seriously, I hope that’s a joke… sometimes people send their email
twice by mistake, perhaps thinking their email didn’t go through the
first time, double clicking instead of single clicking, being impatient
waiting for a webmail interface to load the next page, etc. etc.
sheesh (course i’ll feel real dumb if there is some sort of
mail-doubling occurring, but if there is, it’s not effecting my
account)On Aug 13, 2004, at 9:28 AM, David Olofson wrote:

No, this is not a joke. I’ve had it, too. And there’s no visible pattern for
the affected senders. However, it didn’t happen for the last few messages I
recieved. Let’s hope it’s over.

for whoevers wondering, last night i sent a message and it came up duplicate
because i have mcaffee virus scan and when it was sending it popped up a
window saying “mcaffee is scanning this outgoing email for a virus, follow
these steps to disable emailk virus scan”, it popped up the window because
outlook popped open a window saying that it had waited for my smpt server
for 60 seconds and hit a timeout and asked if i wanted to wait or cancel.
i clicked wait and it sent out, however i looked in my sent folder, and
there were 2 coppies of the email i wrote, so this was caused by a
malfunction on my end and not anything on the sdl list (:> ----- Original Message -----

Yeah, but I’ve seen it happen a few times in very short time, and I’m
not seeing any fields that indicate reply to sender + list or
anything like that; just a To: field with the list address. I got the
impression that the doubles came form different people, but all I
have left now is two doubles from Alan Wolfe… Also note that I was
pretty tired yesterday, when I noticed those posts.

Sigh… I fear you’ve missed the point of my post ENTIRELY, unless
you personally got duplicates of your own email, how can you be certain
it wasn’t just some people accidentally sending their email twice? What
would even lead you to believe that?On Aug 13, 2004, at 12:16 PM, Gregor M?ckl wrote:
