MacOS X SDL CDROM

Does the CDROM audio playing feature of SDL work under MacOS X?
I have tried an example, but the CDNumDrives always returns 0.
Any ideas?
Or could some one direct me to a working example?

BTW My system is a Pather iMac DV, but i think i had similar problems under

We have working code in CVS but it is currently disabled in the release
libraries. If I remember correctly, we decided to postpone the release
until it could be re-factored a little bit, maybe rewritten in C to

Ok, thanks for the update (too bad this news wasnt’d more visable).
Any suggestions for a smiliar libray to play a music track (i.e. a mp3 etc)?
I’ve looked at SDL_sound; any other simple MacOS X recommendations?

Yeah, I think somebody was going to plug in C AIFF reading code.
Max, do you know who, if anybody, was going to do that?
