I have a cassieo em-500 running a mips ~140mhz and 32mb of ram… and it
runs sdl just fine.
I also have a viewsonic 300mhz or 400mhz arm with 64mb of ram that runs it
just fine.
It’s a bit of a pita to get the visual tools to cooperate with all of it,
but it does indeed work.

The Sharp Zaurus and iPAQs can run SDL apps.
(e.g., see: Zaurus Software [New Breed Software] for mine.)
There are also some handheld game systems to which SDL has been ported.
(GamePark ones, for example, I think.)
Here’s an FAQ question about supported platforms. I have a feeling it’s
gotten a little out-of-date, though…?

Hi,
SDL perfectly supports WinCE platform (Pocket PC/ smartphones and so on).
It supports WinDib output, GAPI, Vga screens, and supports sound mixer.
So it is ideal for mobile gaming.
In 1.2.10 there are project files for Evc3/4 and VS 2005, so it is
enough to download and click ‘Build’ button.
Best Regards,
Dmitry Yakimov.
To get … an older version of SDL to compile in EVC3, I had to patch a
bunch of stuff. I’ll have to try again with newer SDL’s soon.

also of course there is the new arm powered risc os a9, which has sdl, and will
fit in your pocket, if your pockets are large wnough to hold something around
the size of it.
