Mouse pointer moving in great jerks on Pentium II

Hello,

I’m using SDL 2.24 along with Dosbox-X, 32 bit version, on Linux.
It works fine on a recent PC (Intel i5 10600 with VirtualBox) but the same installation shows mouse pointer jerkiness on Pentium II.
The jerkiness is not relevant to Dosbox-X itself but to any (DOS) software installed on it.

I’ve tried to compile the latest SDL 2.30.8 but it shows the error “illegal instruction” when starting Dosbox-X, so it doesn’t start at all.

Any hint from you gurus would be very appreciated, many thanks.
