I have encountered a problem using the SDL.
Have read almost all documentation i have found
the two last days.
I have had no problem downloading (i?ve used the MinGw 1.2.7 version)
puted the SDL.dll file in System map
and compliling the code. I use the DJGPP gcc compiler.
but when running the program i get a segmentation fault (SIGSEV)
with the comment General Protection Fault at …
when the program run any function from the SDL library
for example SDL_delay() or SDL_init()
what have i done wrong?
some additional info(if thats any help)
i run it all on win 2000
I link with following command:
gxx -o TestOfGCL.exe TestOfGCL.o GCL.o -L/Created/SDL-1.2.7/lib/ -lSDLmain -
lSDL.dll -lSDL

Here’s your problem:
I use the DJGPP gcc compiler.

DJGPP can only produce DOS applications IIRC. What you probably want is
Mingw32 - www.mingw.org iirc. Failing that, Visual C++ (any version after 5
should be OK) should work just as well.
