I’ve coded a new font lib for SDL which is called SFont (very creative name,
eh?). It uses variable width bitmap fonts, which can be easily created using
the GIMP. No patent problems, no extra libs, but large fonts (~100 kb for 30
pixel height). Take a look at it at:
