Non-root Fullscreen Bug?

When I quit testsprite I end up with a blank screen and have to
press ctrl-alt-- or ctrl-alt-+ to get my desktop back. My
system is running RedHat 6.1 w/ a TNT card.–

I experienced a similar behavior on the G400 X server, after quitting SDL
applications (random pattern all over the screen). I believe this is a bug
in some X servers. This new fullscreen mode puts in light some new bugs
in VidMode itself

Raster was working on VidMode a little while ago and was pestering about
how buggy it was… The only part he said worked fine is switching
between modes already defined in XF86Config.–
