OpenGL gears fps?

I am currently getting the following fps for a Lisp version of the OpenGL
gears application:

  • AMD 1900, with TNT = 110fps
  • Xeon 2.8Ghz with Radeon 9700Pro = 1,800fps

I was wondering how these figures compare with versions implemented in other
languages ? E.g. C, C++, Python, Ruby etc.
