But people are talking about framerates, arguing about what the eye
can see and can’t see. Also, software rendering versus hardware
rendering. This is nothing to do with SDL, except for the very tenuous
link that SDL can support software rendering and OpenGL. However, SDL
isn’t being discussed and so this isn’t the place for it. Plus, to add
to that, when I said it, graphics cards were being discussed.
Irrelevant to this list. End of discussion.

And my bt879 running at 768x576 does have noticable interlacing,
especially visible with certain Playstation and PS2 games.

768x576 is the recommended full resolution for NTSC and PAL signals on the
