Well… I’ve reached version 1.00! :slight_smile: Hurrah! :slight_smile:

Thanks everyone for their help in finding bugs and pointing out mistakes and
that. Thanks for all the patches and everything, I’ve enjoyed making it…

Now to wait for some hideous bug that’ll mean I need version 1.01! :wink:

One fix in V1.00 includes Windows users not being able to hear the music…
but according to Linux Format (UK) that’s not all that bad a thing! :wink:

here are some comments for you for v1.01:

ESC key doesn’t seem to work anymore (I think it worked in the beta). So
there is no (apparent) way I could quit a running game except waiting to
be dead.

The missile frigate mission in system 1 is too hard. Mainly because
thoses frigates can fire several rockets at once, thus killing you in
one shot, which is very frustrating if you were close to the end of the
mission.

The beginning of system 2 is too easy (up to and including all the
slaves rescue). I feel like it’s the same enemy difficulty as in system
1, but you got much better weapons by then and a wingmate, so, it’s kind
of piece of cake.

Kline seems like way too hard… especially since he comes right after
“another” (easy, I admit) boss (once again too much life, so it gets
boring). I guess this is mainly because, I focused on temporary weapons
but those small ships spawned by the boss never gives you plasma ammo…
So I was left with pityfull guns against Kline. Next games, I tried to
sell all my stuff and bought a laser. That helped but Kline still too
hard (he has too much life)

Menus should accept the Enter key.

You should “flush” the keyboard (or juste wait till it’s not pressed
anymore) before you get back to the Menus after a missing failed. I’m
kinda used to press a lot the ctrl key when I’m losing and so I just go
at places I don’t want in the Menus.

The bosses seems to be “scaled” gfx… Makes them ugly… You should
redraw them in the correct size directly…
