PS2 analog controller

Having successfully connected a Playstation2 dual shock controller to my PC (using a USB converter) in order to play MAME. I was wondering if SDL provides support for the two analog sticks on the dual shock.

FWIW, I’m using a PS2 controller with my game being developed using SDL,
and it shows up as a 4 axis 16 button device, so I guess the answer is
yes. There is no access to the vibration functions, though.

Why do you think this?

PS2 converters are just standard USB joystick devices. Assuming they’re
not buggy, they should work fine (and it should have nothing to do with
SDL, since it doesn’t know the difference). Also, there are a number of
