QPaintDevice: Must construct a QApplication before a QPaintDevice

Ok. Before someone tells me I am linking wrong… this is the same setup I
have used for several applications. I am using the correct sdl-config for the
–cflags and --libs.

The “QPaintDevice: Must construct a QApplication before a QPaintDevice” is
coming from my trying to port over AdvancedMame. I am not sure if it is trying
to do something funny to the screen or not, but I am using the latest CVS feed
for the compile. Any ideas?

Ok. This is what I have been able to figure out so far. I cleaned everything
up and decided to see if ./configure would setup all of the flags correctly.
It started failing stating that SDL_Init () could not be found. This is after
downloading from the latest CVS and recompiling. Could this be an issue with
using Symbolic Links in the directory structure. Since I am trying to work
with this on the handhelds.org clusters and it forces everyone to work within a
directory of their email address, I found that SDL will not compile properly if
the paths have an ‘@’ symbol in them. To work around this, I symlinked my
Qtopia (/user/guest/dsolomo1 at maine.rr.com/Qtopia) directory to
/user/guest/Qtopia. This allowed SDL to compile and install.

Any ideas?
