Realtime renderers of 3D Studio .asc files

Hi all,
Just as an aside, some of you may remember that I had put together a
Quake 2 Model viewer using Delphi/Kylix with my Object Pascal bindings
that ran under both Windows and Linux.
Well plans are under way to create a pluginable SDL Model viewer. The
model viewer will initially support Q2, Q3, UnReal & MilkShake models as
plugins for both Windows and Linux. These plugins will be initially be
written in Delphi/Kylix, but there should be no reason why developers
who use other programming language could not write their own plugins as
the plugins will be DLLs under Windows and SOs under Linux. It is still
in the design phase at the moment but work should start fairly soon.

If Borland or the FreePascal dudes port a Object Pascal compiler to
another OS, the model viewer should then also port fairly easily :).

Anyways I just thought some of you might be interested ( though I might
be wrong about that ).
