SDL 1.2.2 and Perl (sdlpl) status?

I tried to build sdlpl with SDL-1.2.2 and failed.
It looks like the library bindings need to be redone for the
newer version of SDL.

  • Has anyone successfully build sdlpl 1.08 with SDL-1.2.2?

  • Is anyone still doing development on sdlpl? I would like to
    update the bindings but would rather contribute to on-going
    effort rather than duplicating effort.

  • How many folks are using sdlpl? I read lots about PyGame
    but not much about SDL programming in Perl.

    Thanks, and apologies if this is a duplicate, I have been
    having mail problems between lists and aliases and forwards.
