Hi I am planning to write an app using SDL which captures audio stream
from the network (G711 , AAC) and decodes them and plays them thru the
PC speakers (running Ubuntu 9.10) .I did a little bit of research but
I am looking for expert advice as to how to proceed. I saw some
examples of decoding file based audio decoder with SDL_mixer but
havent seen any sample that decodes RTP packets over the network. Is
it possible to do that with SDL_mizer? I would appreciate if somebody
could point me to right direction.

I doubt it, but there are libraries available, check on google.
