SDL community websites

Question, does SDL have any community websits ala allegro.cc? I know
theres an official SDL forum and IRC channel but neither seems to very
active.

Frankly, 90% of what Allegro is is outside the scope of what SDL is.
There’s a lot more to talk about in Allegro, because it’s not just
what SDL is, but a lot of other stuff, too. SDL’s community is mostly
devoted to the development and maintenance of this thin, Simple Direct
media Layer.

There are lots of game development communities out there. Plenty of
SDL talk in those places. On Sun, Jan 17, 2010 at 10:58 PM, JDE wrote:

SDL mailing list
SDL at lists.libsdl.org
http://lists.libsdl.org/listinfo.cgi/sdl-libsdl.org

http://codebad.com/

I think most communication is done through this mailing list (and attached
forum). sdltutorials.com is the only SDL community site that I know of,
though there are several tutorial sites. Basic discussion can also be found
in gamedev.net’s alternative library forum.

Yeah, #sdl on irc.freenode.net. I mean, it’s not non-stop, but there
are always a bunch of people lurking, and conversations going on
on a fairly regular basis. (e.g., today’s person building with gcc on OS X
that I couldn’t help  )
