- Calling SDL_SetVideoMode() with SDL_FULLSCREEN will leave a second
monitor on…is there some way to force this second display off? This
has been generating a lot of “bug” reports in the ut2003 mac demo.
I know under Linux, I have the same “issue.” When running
Xinerama/Twinview I could switch to one monitor only by having a
metamode line. I’ve recently switched to TwinView/Dual Screen. Now it
leaves the other monitor on. At first I was annoyed, now I love it.
If I want the second monitor off to get mood, I reach all 12 inches in
front of my keyboard and hit the little button w/ that funny symbol.
Boom the monitor’s off. Yet, if I want to have my e-mail auto check for
me, I can look at that, watch conversations in my favorite IRC channel,
or see if anyone IM’ed me. I’d explain to them how it is beneficial and
tell them to stop their whining. They can go to single monitor by just
turning off the other one, you can please both sets of views on this
using the current way… you can’t if the other monitor turns off.
