SDL Mailing lists

Also, I noticed that Microsoft is no longer distributing the DirectX
SDK online. Instead you have to pay $8.95 for a CD. Doh! You might
be able to find them on MSDN (http://www.microsoft.com/mdsn/default.asp)

I mention this because I’m not allowed to distribute DirectX headers,
and you need them to compile the Win32 DirectX SDL library.

Hmm… I beleive that there’s a free (fsf-style) DirectX replacement being
developed at the moment…

Anyway, I don’t think Microsoft would mind if you ‘mirrored’ DirectX 5 SDK
for them

Anyway, I don’t understand why Microsoft would decide to make it hard to
write programs for their own OS. (Microsoft must be the only company to
make a LOT of money by making stupid decisions

It’s not anywhere near compatible, and when it is, it will be out of date.

They do, actually.

See ya!

Really? They should join forces(gosh that’s corney!) with SDL then!
