SDL_Mixer and MP3

Hello all,
I’ve been trying very hard to get the newest
verson of sdl_mixer to compile and run with smpeg.
When i try to compile in MSVC++ 6.0, i get hundreds of
errors. Does anyone happent to have a working .dll
file of sdl_mixer that supports Mp3s? I found a
previous verson of sdl_mixer.dll that worked, but
except for 2 sound cards, the quaility of mp3s was
crap. they were badly distorted, and full of noise,
and yet when the same .exe and the same .mp3s were
played on certain computers, they sounded perfect. Any
advice to getting it to compile/work would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,

smpeg has a couple sections of code that don’t play nice with
visualc’s optimizer. i have a large package with all the sdl
libraries compiled together that will play nice.

i keep this file fairly up to date. this includes all the latest
libraries since last may 30th.
