Semi-off-topic question

I asked this before, but didn’t get a reply, so I don’t know if it was
ever received. I’m going to re-ask.

With all the talk about SDL and threads lately, I’ve felt sorta left
out. I’d love to contribute to the thread (no pun intended) but my
knowledge of threads is completely theoretical. I have no experience
in the nitty-gritty of how to manage threads or what the headaches are
that is causing all of this. I’d like to learn more, but I’m at a loss
for where to start. Could anyone point me to any really good net
references (Or book references, but I won’t be able to get to 'em until
my finances crawl back into the black)? I’d prefer stuff on POSIX
threads since AFIAK that’s the standard that SDL tries to adhere to.
I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
-KW

I’ve got a nice tutorial on my hard drive (at least it looks nice, I
haven’t had the time to read it yet). It’s an introduction to pthread
programming by Tom Wagner and Don Towsley. Drop me a line if you’re
interested.
