When I start a soft (on-screen) keyboard in Android, I receive all SDL_TEXTINPUT events fine (letters, number and symbols). However, I do not receive any event whatsoever when I press the backspace or return keys. Has anyone else experienced this?
Bumping this. Has anyone had success receiving backspace or return keys with the on-screen keyboard in Android? I’ve thrown a breakpoint in my event loop and I receive no event at all when these two soft keys are pressed. I believe this is a bug but I would like someone else to corroborate.
Can you report this as a bug in bugzilla?
