SOS: XVideo extension

Hi gurus:

I am developing some utility for play mpeg video!

Redhat 7.0
Xfree86 V4.0
ATI rege pro 8M

SDL 1.1.8
SMPEG 0.4.2

When I test the plaympeg and other program use SDL play Mpeg video

file(it is ok use Windows player), Report:

XLib: extension "XVideo" ":0.0" missing on display
XLib: extension "XVideo" ":0.0" missing on display
XLib: extension "XVideo" ":0.0" missing on display

Fatal signal: Segmention Fault(SDL parachnte Deploted)

Please help me!

I’ve had similar problems in the past. The ‘XLib: extension “XVideo”
":0.0" missing on display’ message, I beleive, is just some kind of
warning. I’ve got it working 100% even though it still pumps out that
message. My problems were with the rpm. So I downloaded the source rpm
(*.src.rpm) and rebuilt it (rpm -bb {spec file}) then reinstalled it.
That fixed all my problems. I hope that help :slight_smile:
