Ubuntu 22.04 libsdl2-dev linked against wrong libsndio

Just updated to Ubuntu 22.04 and I can no longer link executables:

/usr/bin/ld: warning: libsndio.so.6.1, needed by /usr/local/lib/libSDL2.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)

apt shows

libsdl2-2.0-0/jammy,now 2.0.20+dfsg-2build1 amd64 [installed]
Simple DirectMedia Layer

libsdl2-dev/jammy,now 2.0.20+dfsg-2build1 amd64 [installed]
Simple DirectMedia Layer development files

Haven’t seen this error in the community yet. Is there something I need to do?

For now I downloaded the the Bionic deb from :

https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/amd64/libsndio6.1/download

And installed from the deb. Seems to have fixed the issue.

You should report that to Ubuntu, they maintain that package
