Windows phone 8

there is a new sdk coming for windows phone 8 with full gl support does
this mean we might see an sdl for wp8 or is it still all locked in m4 land?
dunno… just thought id throw that out there

Not sure where you heard about GL being fully supported… pretty much
every indication to this point has been that OpenGL and GL ES will not
be supported at all under Metro/WinRT. Instead there’ll be some
barebones variant of Direct3D.

There will be OpenGL support under the desktop half of x86 Windows 8,
but only because it’s already there and maintained entirely by
graphics chip vendors. That, and Microsoft probably can’t afford to
add gamers and the CAD industry to the list of customers they’ve
managed to outrage in the past two weeks. On Wed, Jun 27, 2012 at 8:46 PM, Neil White wrote:

wglCreateContext function
